Hello guest.

Register NOW and take part in this forum. The only thing that keeps a forum like this alive is people.

No one is going to bite your head off. Got a question about the Monty area? Just ask and someone, somewhere will have the answer.

Anything from a good area to live*, getting the car serviced, where to stay if on a short visit and the best places to eat out can all be answered by someone on here. That's what this forum is all about.

Join up now. You know it makes sense.

Admiral

PS: * Don't buy a house near a sheep/cattle farm or an equestrian centre.

PPS: NO. I don't have a financial interest in the site.
Hello Guest I'm Fred wave

There's not many off us here at the moment and that is where you come in, we need your input to help keep the forum active. Don't be put off joining if you are shy or worried about not fitting in, you will find a warm welcome here.

Maybe you are looking for info on the area, maybe you can offer info on the area. Want to sell, want to buy, want to advertise your local business, you can do it here.

I'm already finding the mix of characters interesting and some of the conversation ranges from debate to down right funny, it's not stuffy like some forums I have been to and no one will put you down.

Please at least come and join us so you can enter my Where Am I thread and stop Admiral winning all the time. Doh

PS. I can confirm that Admiral doesn't have a financial interest in the site nor does anyone it is fully self funded and non profit.

Oh and if you find me in the Chat section you will soon see I'm the sensible one and you can offer me cake anytime. Rolleyes

Regards.

Hi everyone,

My name is Tabitha and I have a home near Lignac not far from Montmorrillon.  We have had our lovely home in La Brenne for around 5 years and are in love with this part of rural France.  The peace and tranquility is something that we long for whenever we are back in the UK.  It would be nice for us to make the move to France permanently and we hope that we can make this happen in time...

Nice to e-meet you all  Smile
Bienvenue. We moved up to Coulonges last year from the Gironde ,still finding new stuff out but love the region, not many vines here but plentu of cows and sheep!
THi Everyone! Thanks for welcoming us Aussies here. We’re from a small beachside town on south coast of NSW. I visited Montmorillon a few months ago, just squeaking in a trip pre-Covid. We planned on buying a place in France and found Monty or it found us. So we’re planning to settle on a place shortly and make Monty a 6 month or more annual prospect. I’m hoping to start a small individual cooking/dining experience, during those times hosting small groups or individuals. My interests are all things food and history. I’m a former Fairfax food writer and Steve my best mate and husband is an excellent photographer, behind the camera for all our published food photography. He’s also my chief taster/tester and is pretty keen to explore the vineyards around the neighbouring regions. Hope to return as soon as we are allowed out of Aus and into France! Cheers Debbie

Hi, Brian, and everyone! I'm not really sure what I'm doing!! Thanks for adding me. We will be moving to MM later this year. I speak French, I'm a teacher, and my partner is a roofer/plasterer. We have a house in the town centre, and have been coming to MM for the past three years. That's it, I think!
