We are not too far from you, just outside La Trimouille (we currently live and work in the UK).  

We just got back from two weeks of working on our house.  We are waiting on a quote for our roof (probably complete replacement (old tiles, some timbers)), so would be useful to compare notes.  I'm not sure of the name yet as our french neighbour has asked them to come and have a look while we are away - but apparently, they do 'all the roofs in La Trimouille', so it might be the same people?

Good luck with the bamboo. it's such a tough plant to get rid of.
