You've obviously taken a rather lovely snap of a Baudet de Poitou donkey. A rare and very large breed of mule. But where it was taken I've no idea.

While I'm displaying my ignorance, many thanks to millar for explaining the origins of that hideous "thing" in Le Dorat. At least it now has some worthwhile meaning.

First you apologise for posting a picture of an overly hairy donkey and now you've got a cut-out pig.

This one is on the banks of the Gartemp going toward the rather excellent La Voulzie restaurant and the CPA.

Quite what it, and it's fellow cut-outs, are doing there baffles me but I'm sure there is a wonderful explanation - buried deep in the mysterious French psyche.

You do get around a bit don't you........

Was thinking of posting some of my snaps on here to keep this rather entertaining jape going but.... I dont know how to.

Child number one tells me it's simple - but he lives in Australia and is therefore just a couple of miles away from giving the Old Bloke a keyboard tutorial. Life can be cruel....
