If my French bank gives me any sort of grief in the future then I'll certainly try your new find.
Having said that, they haven't given me grief other than charging for the privilege of having an account and the cards that go with it. The thing that really annoys myself and Madame Admiral is that you cannot change your PIN number in France.
Even more annoying, when you ask why not they just say, "because you can't."
Yes it's La Poste we set it up in Montmorillon, it's the same as any bank only the service is much much better. They have even made a note if we need to claim on our insurance by phone to put us through to someone who speaks English, and Monsieur PRODHOMME speaks very good English in the office.
I asked him by the way about the closing of Lathus and he said No it's not closing.
Yes you still pay but it's less than our old Bank and we have saved a lot on insurance.
Oh and I've found out I can get a cheque book that opens like one should from the left, so no more torn cheques or no where to write on the stub.
