A report last week by La Chambre régionale des comptes says that Montmorillon is losing it's young population.
34% are pensioners.
Montmorillon is the third town of over 5,000 inhabitants of Poitou-Charentes with the fewest children (under 14 years).
Montmorillon is also the second city with the least population between 30 and 44 years old, (potential parents).
