Question. When you got your invite to the prefecture was the date and time set in stone or was it possible to re-book a appointment to suit ?

I've just checked my appointment email from January and it says "Si vous ne pouvez absolument pas vous présenter à ce rendez-vous , veuillez prendre contact avec la sous-préfecture."
Their phone number is 05 49 47 25 30 and their email is [email protected]


I haven't had many dealings with them over the years, but, like Fred, I've always found them to be very friendly and keen to help.

Update: Things must be moving faster now I have just received my card via the post lady. So just over three weeks from going to Montmorillon.
