Kick off is 0700.
Emplacements are free altho you'll need to be up early to grab a prime site.
Grilled shoe leather ( sorry buvet ) , frites, bar and all the usual suspects including an amazing array of tat that you didn't realise you needed and then wondered why you bothered once you've got said tat home.
Usually a good morning out. Book yourself lunch at the Voulzie and you have a rather pleasant day.

This year we rescued our old Pollytunnel and got it settled with a new cover and all is doing very well.
But as we managed to save most of the old cover in the end and it's folded up in the barn we are thinking we could extend it a bit should anyone have any spare tubes they no longer need
So if anyone has any old tubes that they no longer need please don't dump them as we may be able to make use of them.

I've just been reading Admiral's thread about using a UK car over here: English motors in France
But wondered if any of our members had any information/experience about bringing a car over here for spares?
Can I get one day insurance to drive it down here.
Will I have to register it in France even though I want to strip it and never take it on the road again.
Would I have need to register as the new owner in the UK.
Do you still have to tell Swansea it's been exported permanently and scrapped.
Any information gratefully received as it's been a long time and I don't want to go through all the hassle to register one (just get it here to break up for spares)

I've seen this brocante advertised on posters around the town and thought I'd pay it a visit.
It appears to be all day Saturday and Sunday, centred on Place Marchal Leclerc in front of the tourist information office.
Is anyone else going?

Just returned from a newly opened bar in Liglet....Le Sapin Vert. Very nice! Open 7 days a week, with food starting at lunchtime/evenings from 21st August.
Worth an enjoyable ride into the country to try it out.

I'm sure you'll be thrilled to know the cost of visiting your GP will rise to €25 by the end of next year.
There will be an interim rise to €24 in April with the final rise coming into force in December 2017.
So by the end of next year those of you who hold the Carte Vitale will see your reimbursement rise from €15.10 from the state to €16.50. Mutuelle health top-up insurances, for those that can afford them, will pay out €7.50.
This government scheme will have to be funded through more than £440 million extra in general taxation.
Commentators expect the cost of the private Mutuelle to rise in line with the necessary pay-outs. Sorry. I thought it was already sky-high.
Still, I'm sure it's worth it to know your family doctor can have better and longer holidays AND afford that new Mercedes,Audi,BMW.
Having had our aged English Land Rover creak to its final standstill after 16 years of service we have brought a motor out from England.
But.....back in the day we were told we had six months to get the Land Rover onto French plates, insurance, CT etc. Which we duly did because we're really good like that. When in Rome.....
Obviously we were going to go down the same route with the current car but I'm told by several folk that the law has changed and there is no need to turn the car into a French voiture as long as it is taxed, insured and MOT'd in England.
Can someone shed some light on this and clear my rather fogged-up windscreen.
Has anyone out there in the great wide abyss, got experience of bringing an English gas cooker to France?
When we first moved here we were told we couldn't bring our English range cooker from London because the gas jets in France are completely different from those employed by our French chums.
Believing ex-pat folk lore we left the beloved machine in England - much tears and sick etc etc.
Now our French bought - and French made cooker - has blown up for the second time.
After extensive investigation, I'm told they don't make spares for the ruddy thing anymore so we new a new cooker.
Sooooo..........is it possible to import a "proper" cooker from England that will work in France?
I'm sure you all know about this ... but just in case not.
There is an excellent Asian supermarket at the back of Conforama in Limoges. It's in the Zone Industrial Nord at the Cora / La Coupole Commercial Centre at 87280, LIMOGES. It's an Aladin's Cave of goodies with an amazing stock of fresh, frozen and canned/bagged ingredients for Chinese, Thai and Indian cooking. And it's cheap in comparison with LeClerc and Super U.
It's called Thoune Asia.
And where else can you buy a Kg of frozen chicken feet?

The British government has introduced a new website giving advice for British nationals travelling and living in Europe, following the result of the EU referendum.
You may want to bookmark it for future updates.
Quote:
The negotiations to leave the EU may take up to 2 years or more. The government has made clear that we want the legal rights of British nationals living in European countries, as well as EU nationals in the UK, to be properly protected.
In the interim there will be no immediate changes. During the period of the negotiations, the UK remains a full member, entitled to all the benefits and obligations of membership of the EU.
British nationals retain their legal status as EU citizens and can continue to work and live in EU countries.
British nationals can continue to receive healthcare in EU countries.
British nationals can continue to retire and collect their pensions in EU countries.
British nationals can continue to travel freely within the EU using a UK passport.
There will continue to be no visa requirements for British nationals entering another EU country.
British nationals can continue to access healthcare during temporary visits to EU countries using the European Health Insurance Card.

Friday evenings in Adriers have recently been enlivened by the arrival of a pizza van between 6pm and 9pm. It can be found in the car park opposite the mairie on the main road: Rue Principale.
The pizzas are hand made on the spot and cooked to order in a wood fired oven. It strikes me they could have gone one better by building the contraption into a Foden steam lorry rather than the some modern Renault.
They have a website with a menu and a full list of locations.
We had one for the first time last night and it was absoutely excellent. If you fancy a picnic Adriers has a pleasant landscaped plan d'eau,
So, how many of us are watching tomorrow? We`re planning travelling on the Triumph. with picnic, rug and books to read, and catching the action between Lathus and Le Dorat. How about you?
