If like me you have found buying tyres in France a very expensive experience, read on and find out how I saved over €60.00 per tyre!
I needed some new tyres for my 4×4 and past experience has taught me buying in France is very expensive. Two years ago I paid €166 + fitting for each 265/70 R15, a friend told me “you should get them from the UK as they are cheaper” He was right they are cheaper £97 each which would be around €120 + shipping & fitting.
But I still wanted to buy in France If I could match the price, and a bit more research took me to Centrale Pneus on-line website, they had the exact tyres I was looking for, the website was easy to use, and I got my tyres at €107 each delivered to my door in three days. Oh and the exact make I wanted which was a first for me in France.
They have given me excellent service and saved me a lot of money, if you look on their website you will find “Trouver un garage” click that and you will find 3500 garages in France that will accept delivery of your tyres and fit them for you.
I got mine sent to me and tried to find someone local to fit them, but the problem I had was the size of the wheels. So I ended up going to the garage near Leclerc who fitted them for €28 each which was the best price I could find for the size. If anyone knows of someone who fits tyres please share on this thread.
But in the end I saved, got what I wanted, and was given excellent service. You can find the website here: https://www.centralepneus.fr
*If you’re not sure how to find your tyre size: Mine are 265/70 R15 112 T so i would enter Largeur: 265 Hauteur: 70 Diamètre: 15. You will find your size on the side of your existing tyre or in your handbook. Or you could use the “Recherche par véhicule” button on their website to find the correct tyre for your vehicle. Failing that if you get stuck, talk to them, they are very helpful.
