With the Leclerc SIM cards (or I guess any other for that matter) do you just buy a pre paid SIM, as in the UK, or do you have to provide ID & register etc etc?

Been a while since we got ours, but my wife can't remember having to show any ID to get it. She thinks it was €10 to buy, you put it in and she thinks it just activates itself. You need to make sure you keep enough for the monthly subscription and obviously have a phone that is not locked.

Not sure about the others but remember them being expensive if you don't use them often as you loose and unused credit, (things may have changed now though)

Have a look on their website https://www.leclercmobile.fr there may be something there that tells you if you need ID.
