We are just starting out, a new (derelict) house, but lovely French and English neighbours.  Only , whcifor holidays at the moment as we still have teenagers, but early plans for long summers and eventually a move.  

Trying to find out about the rules for reed beds (instead or as well as a septic tank) at the moment.  Next trip is in August and the 'to take' list is getting very long 

Much of the property round here is connected to main drains, including mine which is a restored barn 4km from La Trimouille
