Hello Andrea and Andy - I hope you're settling in well.
I don't know where you're based, but in L'Isle Jourdain there is a group that has a French conversation group - I believe it's every Thursday at 09:00 and I think it's held at their office, 15 Place d'Armes, L'Isle Jourdain. Their phone number is 0549841773- and they do speak English!
They have a Facebook group here which should give you more details - although it looks as if the page was last updated in 2017. The Tourist office in L'Isle Jourdain (1 Place d'Armes, L'Isle Jourdain) should know how to unearth them.
