There is a very good Dépôt Vent in Lussac-Les-Châteaux. Purchases there benefit a local charity: ADECL.
The address is 4, Rue de Piniers and here it is on Google Maps.
They usually have a good selection of tables, chairs, bureaux, buffets etc. The older pieces tend to be cheaper as (stand by for sweeping generalisation!) the French don't seem to value old furniture.
As an example, I recently bought a very solid rectangular oak table, late 19th century, about 220cm x 90cm for 60€. Also a pair of bedside chamber cupboards in walnut with red marble tops for 50€...
The opening hours are a little eccentric:
Monday, Tuesday 14h30 à 18h.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10h to 12h and 14h30 to18h
Saturday, sometimes open, usually closed!
We'll be listening out for any emergency calls for help!
I will take a trip own to Lussac to have a look and go back a second time with my trailer.
Cheers
Peter
