Hi all, Not been on here for a while. We went to our house in La Trimouille the day they decided we'd have to quarantine on return, so we had to do the dreaded 14 days on return and cut our break shorter than planned.
No one even checked if we did actually do the quarantine btw, but it is what it is. We felt safer in France if I'm honest and we just took long walks in the countryside and kept ourselves to ourselves, apart from a few trips to the supermarkets.
Regarding the question about the dreaded mosquito, apparently peppermint oil watered down in a spray bottle and sprayed around window frames, doors and as many places as you like does the trick. If you want to go the whole hog you can rub your arms with peppermint leaves and they won't come near you. Let's know how you all get on with that one
We're worrying about what's ahead next year. Everything is so uncertain at the moment. Worried about when/if we should book the chunnel as really you need to plan a month off work now to plan for possible quarantining and who can realistically do that? That coupled with all the worries Brexit will bring. even bringing our dog, as we always do, would result in many hoops having to be jumped beforehand. Nightmare!
As long as we all stay safe that's the main thing, so fingers crossed we all keep well.
