We are the newbies trouble and strife.
We are in same boat as many and unable to come up to France due to the quarantine rules. We are sat at home itching to get to France and watching the exchange rate plummet. How many of you is as frustrated and as confused as we are with the ever change of rules.
I have been spending my time productively assessing how to get rid of the mosquitoes as we got bit terribly last time we were out there.
Any hints tips or advice on this will be most welcome.
Hello and welcome
We managed to get over to France, thankfully. We had to take a gamble as our holiday dates from work could not be changed. At the time, first few weeks of July everything was relatively normal in France - as we'd been told. Things rapidly changed a few days after we left. We wanted to come back but then the quarantine was imposed again and we decided not too. We have time in October to try and venture over again but I can't see it happenng. Yes, we're very frustrated and confused by the rules, and trying to keep track of both countries doesn't help.
Sorry you haven't been able to get over to your house. Is it likely to be a jungle outside?
If you know how to get rid of the mosquitos, let us know... We camped this year and found a burning campfire helps keep them away, though this is not practical in all situations! Also, I was advised that they don't like camphor but I conveniently forgot my jar of Vicks!
Good luck - hope you work out a chance to travel soon
