Another good supplier of really good, aged wood at any time of the year is Jacky Dumas BUT he ain't cheap.
A cord of excellent oak and ash two years ago cost about €220 but delivery is in that price and I asked for the wood to be cut to 33 centimetres. Sadly, they don't stack for you and my back is not getting any younger.

As a completely useless bit of info he also does coal, anthracite, wines, bieres, spirits, heating oil and - would ya believe it - ice. Summer only for the ice which is a shame as Madame Admiral needs it all year round for her breakfast vodka, lime and soda.....
