That was rather sudden, wasn't it? We lost a couple of trees but it saves me some chainsaw time
If there are storms about, I have a look at this lightning mapping website.
It gives real time indications of lightning strikes, and a circle grows out from each strike to show where the thunder can be heard.
To me, it's more interesting than useful. One thing I've learned from it is that if thunderstorms approach from the south west, they are likely to follow the valley of eth Vienne or Gartempe rather than the fairly flat land between the two.
It's just occurred to me that I may be a complete geek...
