This rather thrilling notice told me, and anyone who happened to notice it pinned up in obscurity, that there is a public consultation and public inquiry going on into the prospect of building a rather large "station d'epuration" between Saulge and Montmorillon.
Whilst my French is not at A-level standard, I read this as a plan to erect a whopping great, and presumably smelly, sewage treatment works near the environs of Monty.
Someone please tell me I've got my French completely wrong and I'm reading too much into this.
However, if I'm right how can these people get away with this sort of "back door" planning application?
As far as I know you are right a station d'épuration is what we would call a big stinky sewerage works. I think there is one behind the slaughter house.
As for can they do this sort of back door planning application. How long have you lived here Admiral? Shall I remind you that this is France and yes they can. Having said that if they also follow their normal time scale it could take 100 years.
