Sorry to rain on your parade Clubby, but I agree with everything Fred said - especially the bit about never having seen one in France.
If you're talking about clearing building/renovation rubbish from the house, then French builders will usually take it away for you. But only if you ask first.
There are several small firms/one man bands who advertise themselves as carrying out house/barn clearance. They are obviously English run and if you do go down that route make sure they have factored in their dechetterie costs in the original devi. If they're a registered business here they have to pay the decehet about €15 a trip.
If they're not registered - don't use them.
