Sorry about your experience(s) with Chouteau. I must say my one and only was exceptional - especially for France.
Having said that, I have heard from other people horror stories of Chouteau trying to sell them four brand new Pirelli or Michelin tyres at astronomical cost when they didn't need them.
But there again, businesses all over the world try it on. They wouldn't be a business if they didn't.
Maybe I got away unharmed with my boyish charm and a sweet disarming smile.
Actually Madame Admiral says I got away with it being more than six feet tall, built like a brick outhouse and looking as if I could eat a small French car mechanic for lunch. Only with frites and Fond de Veau tho. I am picky about grub.
