Big Boy,
I have no idea if your search for chooks was a triumph in old fashioned shopping.....but I happened to notice on my meanderings around the area that the new(ish) garden centre next to SuperU sells chickens.
Sadly, you can't see the blighters
before you buy because it's a place your order, pay and collect later jobbie.
There is a notice on the cash desk giving weights, types and prices if you're interested.
