Sadly not found an answer to your question - yet - but have been trying. In the meantime I just finished off 3 bottles of Hobsons green hopped beer from a small brewery in Worcestershire.
A pressie from my sister who helped pick the hops from the farm next door.
REAL beer at its finest - only brewed in September as the hops are used fresh. Just thought if tantalise a few taste buds!
Will continue the hunt for a British style ales at supermarket prices - but still enjoying la trappe in Montmorillon's selection of around 70 different beers (including spitfire!) all be it at not supermarket prices but plenty with some real kick!
