Ride on mower for repair.

MTD 115/96

You will need to work on it, but it could end up being a good ride on mower.

The engine runs well but can be difficult to start and there is a little blue smoke when first starting, but it stops smoking after a few minutes. The cutting deck did give an excellent cut but one the blades has stopped turning today and looks like the bearing could be gone.

It could do with some new drive belts as one can pop off if you go in reverse, also the exhaust has become a bit wobbly. It's been a great mower but do to health reasons I'm no longer able to fix it, so I've ordered a self drive walk behind to help me get some exercise.

I've also got a spare engine that I was given when I purchased the current cutting deck, the guy said it worked but I have never tried it.

It also includes two batteries, one bought new in May 24.
I can't deliver, so the buyer will need to collect.

If you are interested please post here or send me a PM, I'm thinking €250 for the lot ?

Near Lathus Saint Remy.

That's a generous offer. From working on my ride-on mower they tend to be quite straightforward for maintenance and there is a good supply of parts for MTD machines - although I've found they are generally cheaper (and delivered more quickly???) when ordered from Germany.

I hope you get a taker for this, Fred. As an offer it's too good to miss...

Thank you Brian, yes they are great machines and easy to repair (unless you can't due to health reason be as fit as you once were like me)  Rolleyes I wasn't sure what to ask, but felt it had to be worth something as it's a great machine.

I thought I would put it on here first before Bon Coin where I would ask more as old stuff is so expensive on there and full of scammers, if anyone does want it I forgot to say "you would need to collect".

Also forgot to say it comes with two batteries, I got a new one in April hoping it would make starting easier. It did a bit but the old battery still has a bit of charge so they may as well go with the mower.

@Brian if you do see this could you make an edit to my first post and add. I forgot you can't edit after a certain time.

Includes two batteries, one only three months old.

Buyer will need to collect

Thank you.

Nope still no interest, I'll also throw in a Ryobi petrol strimmer that needs the pull starter fixing.
