		With more and people telling me the Robuchon cookery instiitute plans are dead in the water, and the lack of replies to my question, I appear to have answered it myself.
Selflessly trawling the interweb just for you, I found this..

In addition I found two more stories from August, one from the highly regarded Agence France Presse, giving the same version of events.
I really hope someone can pull this project back from the brink because I think if it can go ahead it will be brilliant for the town and surrounding area.
In the meantime, I would get out more but can't because there now isn't a Robuchon restaurant to go to.

 It’s very sad for Montmorillon, but I suppose it was only ever going to happen because of Robuchon’s links to the area. I doubt they’ll find another top chef, with an abundance of cash and a connection to Monty, to step in and carry it on. Such a shame.
