Bit concerned about what Fred said, in that the French DON'T know what bacon is - or rather our idea of bacon.
It's easy to find from Thiat, but I can't remember how I got there. I will have to ask Mrs Fred when she gets back from Bungy Jumping class as she remembers things.
My comment about the French don't know about bacon was, in my opinion they don't understand why you want back bacon sliced thinly. And whenever I've tried to ask for it they just either can't, don't, or more likely won't do it. You can get very very thin slices of what look a bit like streaky in the supermarkets all tucked up in a plastic package with added preservatives, but the butchers just don't seem to want to do it.
