Hi to All.
My wife, Sharon, & I completed on our house purchase in Nerignac back in December.
For now this is a maison secondaire, habitable but no heating, and with potential to expand into the haylofts upstairs.
Over the next few years we'll firstly just enjoy the location & get to know the neighbours, and secondly do the building work the house deserves (a very English outlook I know). The overall intention being to end our days in France, lazily, supping vin rouge in a location & house that we've made our own.
A dream of many I'm sure, just working towards the reality !!
Now wasting my lunch hour on the web & preparing to jump in the car for a Friday night crossing to Caen. Managed to stumble across this forum looking for a potential carpenter - have a photo of Sebastien Cousin's sign board on our neighbours driveway, and it brought me here.
And all this in response to my Sister & B-in-L who upped sticks & moved to Luchapt permanently last summer, bringing both of our retired mothers with them
They seem to be enjoying it, and I've suggested they sign up to this forum.
Goodbye for now, here's hoping local knowledge can assist in the future.
Rgds
