Hello all,
I need to add some insulation to a couple of stone exterior walls. As the house is quite old there is no damp proof course so I want to make sure that whatever I use for insulation will be suitable.
My plan is to have foil-covered expanded polystyrene sheet insulation in a 4x2 framework, all covered with foil-backed plasterboard, with a plastic membrane as a DPC under the frame, insulation and plasterboard
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thanks in advance,
Brian

- Does this sound like a sensible arrangement?
- What is the best material for insulation? I presume foil-backed expanded polyurethane sheets (like the UK spec Kingspan) but I have seen other products here in France
- If foil-backed is the way to go, what's it called in French as I the only stuff I can find online is the non-foil backed stuff
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thanks in advance,
Brian
