Thanks Admiral, it’s really good to know things will survive in pots whilst we’re not there. I can’t wait to get back now and start potting. The outside area of the house is a bit of a mess because we’re concentrating on the inside when we visit and never have the time to get stuck in to that too, apart from weeding, which is futile.

It's not one for a pot but the wisteria that is on one of our barns is prolific and it usually flowers two or three times a year - in early May, late June and mid-August. The only thing we do is prune it savagely in late autumn or very early spring.

You’re the second person this week that’s told me to get a Wisteria. Must be meant to be
