I visited the Christmas Market in Place Marechal Leclerc this afternoon.

It really does not look very inviting, being entirely enclosed by 2m high barriers with one entry and exit point at the southeast corner of the square - manned by (fairly low grade) security guards who give you a grilling about what you have on your person. Some people were actually being searched.

Once inside, there was a good range of stalls selling a wide variety of handmade crafts - including a young woman who had brought along her lathe and was making bowls etc and explaining the process - it made me wish I'd brought mine along!

Light refreshments were available and it was altogether enjoyable. Just a shame about the prison camp appearance...

We were there too, on the same afternoon as you. I was asked if I had a weapon in my bag, but they never asked the two males with me if they had anything, presumably because they weren't carrying shoulder bags. Seemed a bit of a daft question, because a person of threat is hardly going to answer yes to that question, are they?
There were some nice little stalls there. We just supported the cat charity stall. Pity it was raining that day too when we went.
