Anyone know if garden bonfires are banned in this area throughout the year. Rules

I know there used to be a ban running fron June to the end of September but now I'm told they are banned all year.

Is this true?  Or just more ill-informed Brit ex-pat gossip?

Really interested in an answer because I have load of garden waste crying out for going up in smoke.

Err....has this been posted before and I should stop being idle and look back through the archive?.... Doh

that's true, all bonfires are "interdit", i got s...t form my previous neighbors in Civaux as i was burning wood after pruning trees at my GF place last November. i checked with the mayor office, this is applicable everywhere in France (not only in Vienne), my older (and other ) neighbor told me that that was allowed before and he is still burning ..;but what can you tell to an 94 year old bastard ?, if interested follow the link (thanks to my friends at the legal team at the NPP)  https://www.vienne.gouv.fr/content/downl..._signé.pdf

Thanks for that Big Fella.

I had a horrible feeling that was the case.  But.....why do I see and smell so many bonfires in and around Montmorillon?

Probably just our French chums having a total disregard for rules and regs. Whistle

Now I'm left with a ton of debris from three hazlenut trees we cut right back.
