I can totally (in theory) understand Montmrillon`s decision to be pesticide free for environmental reasons...........saving the planet etc etc.......however, Montmorillon`s pavements/roundabouts now look decidedly scruffy!

eek little Al.

I didn't realise Monty was trying to go pesticide free so you're ahead of me - again. Doh   I thought, like you, that a lot of pavements and open spaces are beginning to look a little shabby.

I've read a lot about France wanting to ban the use of products like glyphosphate from January next year - hence the pesticides are now in a lock-up wherever they are sold.  Bit pointless really because all you have to do is ask a surly brute to open the cabinet for you.

However, I have read recently that this ban is unlikely to happen until 2022.  But.....is anything in France ever predictable? Whistle

Yes I think they are going to regret the move and it's going to cost a lot more to do it by hand.

There was talk of the council asking residents to look after the path in front of their house, but they were offering no payment or reduction on your tax's so I don't see that working.
