Does anyone know a shop in Montmorillon that sells filters for Brita water jugs please.Couldn't find them in Lidl(where we bought the jug ans spare filters),Leclerc or SuperU.I know we can buy online but would be handy to be able to buy off the shelf. Thanks in advance.

We have purhased them in Leclerc & super U - I thought they always had them in stock !. As you say lidl do have the filters occasionaly. We also found some in Aldi that that they were selling off for 10 euros (3 pack) - bought all but one. All these were Brita maxtra & all in Montmorillon.

Try filling a plastic bottle with tap water and leaving it in the fridge overnight without the top screwed on. That seems to make chemical tastes disappear without the need for filtration devices.

On another matter affecting local H2O... the water in Vienne is so hard I fear for the health of washing machines and dishwashers etc etc. Installing a water softener is an expensive solution. Any other ideas?
