Hello and welcome to AroundMontmorillon.

We've always used the vets at Terrier Blanc, near the roundabout that connects the 'ring road' with the D727 that goes past Super U etc to La Trimouille. At least one of the vets there (Jesus Lopez?) speaks a little English but the good news is that vets seem to speak the same language as the pets so will generally rise to any challenge!

Here's a link to their website and here's where they are on Google Maps.

I hope you get your pet sorted...
Brian

Hi there, we take our little dog with us to our house in La Trim several times a year usually, pre Covid. We always take him to that vets in Montmorillon. I find that when I ring them to make an appointment, in my limited French, they usually take over and finish my sentence in English. There are a few people there who like to practice their English on you and I'm trying to speak to them in French, so between us we get by.
Lovely vets and staff and highly recommend. Good luck

Thank you, Jane. I could probably manage making the appointment in French but it's the description of problems that worries me!! Molly, my cat, has been going to Le Dorat but although they are very kind, I just find them a bit blinkered & as a result she now has full blown hyperthyroidism when I suspected it last year! Anyway, thanks again for your input, & will give them ago! ☺️
