Hello to all on this forum from two ‘wish I was in France’ people living on the West Coast of Canada. After visiting France twice in the last year I can say without hesitation we are in Love and wish we lived closer. However we are fortunate to be retired and free to explore. So why not live part time in France?! Our next trip will be in September and at this time will begin the search for our happy place. The area of Montmorillon has appeal on paper (we haven’t been there yet) and so finding this forum will be extremely helpful as we begin planning next steps. Cheers and aren’t you the lucky ones!!

Hello from me, it is a lovely area. We're still based in the UK, but we have a holiday home, for now, in La Trimouille, which is about 15 minutes drive from Montmorillon. I wish we could spend more time there than we're able to at the moment. Any questions feel free to ask. There's always someone helpful on here.

Thankyou Jane for the Welcome! We are really looking forward to exploring the area next fall. I will likely be picking people’s brains for ideas on where to base ourselves from and advice on choosing a Realtor. We know this will be a time consuming project to make sure we get it right. An adventure for sure!
