Today I did not believe my eyes! eek

We stopped in the centre of Sillars as we had seen what purported to be a bagette machine dispnsing fresh bagettes for one Euro. Surely not I thought, it's the end of the Republic as we known it. Had we had the right change I would have tried my luck and seen what one Euro would have brought forth.

Can it be true? Does it work? Is it edible? Huh

These have been around in France for many years. The baguettes they produce are absolutely fine. I think they were sold to boulangiers on the premise that if you install one of these you won't have to open on Sunday mornings. I'll look out for the one in Sillars and try it.

Not sure about in France, although I don't know. I read about them on Facebook.

A lot of train stations now provide a short stories vending machine.

Depending on how long you have to wait for your train you press the button to get, for example, a three minute story, a five minute story etc.

The service is free.

For some odd reason the story is written in French. Whistle
