OK,wise ones!! I`ve bought some veg plants,but more significantly tomatoes. So WHEN exactly should I plant them out ????

We grow most of ours in the polytunnel but always from seed and not plants.  

Depending on where you got them from some will be stronger than others. Garden centres are better than supermarket plants.  

#1 Check for frost risk
#2 Check for high wind
#3 Check for heavy rain

Can you make some little closhes? 5Lt water bottles work well. Or you could follow the French and lay a tile against the pole to protect them.

But grow in a poly tunnel and you will always get good results.
