Newbie from,England

Hi my name is Jim I live in England and was told this was a great area to live in. I don't know what I can contribute but I am known for having an opinion on most things.
You have great weather there I'm told and the scenery is also great although yours is not a wine growing region I'm tempted,to cross over and sample some wine and olives
I hope this is an active forum as I understand Fred is quote,prolific in his writings

Well it's nice to get a warm welcome to the forum I pop in from time to time to see what's happening in your area with a certain amount of jealousy .....
I do hope one day to visit the area and who knows I could be like the other Brits that have come here and find it so nice I won't want to leave

The big attraction for me is the tranquility and the weather..... It would be nice to have the pressures of modern living in England gone.... But unfortunately I still,have to work for a living ...... My time will come I'm sure

As you probably know the problem with England is the unpredictability of the weather..... You can't plan an outside event . And I love the outdoors
Summer evenings here get chilly very early and you have to go inside .....
How I would love to sit out in the evening with a glass or two of wine.... Getting mellow ..... It sounds like heaven to me ...... This last summer you can count on one hand the number of evenings warm enough to sit out in ..

Well enough of my day dreaming. I will keep my eye on this site and contribute as and when I can , and hope one day to be able to enjoy the area as you do.

I think this is the type of forum I like to join it is not to large and seems very personal..... Long may it keep going
