We live in France and considering re-locating.  What's the weather/climate like in Montmorillon and surrounding areas?  I realise that weather is changing a lot and certainly has over the last few years we've been here - but generally what is it like?

We were enjoying our new life very much, but one day while on the south coast of Spain, we decided that it would be better if we had a bricks and mortar base somewhere. We had liked this area when we passed through - I think perhaps it reminds us a bit of Yorkshire, which is where we are both from originally. So we started looking at adverts for small, cheap houses, identified a few likely candidates, and then drove all the way up from the far south of Spain to here in a couple of days.

We soon found the right house, in a small village in the Lathus St Rémy area, and we've been here for just over three years now. We love it here, and everyone in the village is so friendly, both the French and the British. We still travel a lot in our motorhome, around France, and back to Spain and Portugal in the winter - apart from last winter, because of you-know-what. Hoping we can go again this winter.

Nice to see some old faces still popping in, and I notice we have a lot more members now than when I was last here. I've not read all of your posts so excuse me if I missed anything aimed at me, but there were too many to read.

All is good here though we did lose my Sister and Mum just over a year ago about a month apart, but we new it was coming. Glad to see the damn Brexit thing out of the way, I felt like I was stuck in limbo for almost 5 years.

I think I will slowly ease myself back in, I've had my break and hope to catch up with the world Around Montmorillin.

My self and my husband Chris moved to Bourg-Archambault on the 30th August and we love being here.

We are just finding our feet and getting settled in to our new way of life, i was chuffed to find your board and i'm sure I will find it helpful as we start to go through the process of changing things over to France.

We are hoping to get our move to Montmorillon in motion for mid-late October.  Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for a removal company in the NE of England that they have used for a move to France.

Also - any recommendations as to the best route over the Channel when travelling with dogs for stopping off / ferry v tunnel  etc
