I live in Adriers, which has a generous smattering of English speaking natives, as well as a lot of French people who would like to improve their English.

I think a weekly discussion group - ideally 50:50 French: English - in which we held bilingual conversations about current topics of our own choice could be popular. Each session would be free, but with coffee, tea, petits patisseries available for a nomimal charge

I've put together a presentation which I plan to take to the Mairie at the end of August (when they're all back from holiday!) but in the meantime I thought I'd take a sounding to see if anyone here would be interested in coming along. Day of the week to be decided.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the offer Brian, but at the moment we’re up to our eyes in it here sorting everything after the move. I think it’s a good idea for your area though. I think you’re about 35 minutes away from us. I know someone was mentioning doing something similar in La Trim not so long back. It may have been Facebook I saw that on. Good luck with it and hopefully you may get some interest on here too.

Hi Brian. I thought your command of French was already good ? You may know that we live in Moulismes. Our command of the French language is best decribed as poor. If the discussion group will cater also for us beginners , you could count us in.
Well, my French is OK for day-to-day activities but I'd like it to be better! My intention would be for the group to cater for all levels. I think that the only qualification would be the ability to say 'bonjour'and smile ?

Please tell us more about your lessons - you have a captive market sitting in front of you...
Brian...I have no plan, but would love to hold a class, for beginners, in French!
Perhaps we could work together on this?
