Has anyone noticed that Soregies has not debited their bank account since January? We have had a prelevement with them for about 15 years and until recently they have been swift with their debiting; the debits showed up immediately after receiving the emailed facture, if not before. Now - nothing noted in the bank account.

Just wondering if it's just us or is it a more general problem. Whatever, it looks like the beginning of yet more letter-writing to a faceless org.

Thanks if you can enlighten.
Can't help as we pay ours online every two months, but do you have an online account ? If not you can open one here: https://www.soregies.fr/creer-mon-espace...t-898.html

I notice in my "Espace Client" there is a section "Moyens de paiement" it may be worth looking in there.

Or click on "Dernière facture" you can see all your past and current bills.
Thank you Fred, for your kind reply.
We've been customers since 2003 using prelevement without interruption until recently. I often get online to check out previous factures including the latest. I am now composing an email message to send through the facility provided on their site and we'll take it from there (hopefully they will read it and reply ;-)

Thanks again and wishing you a fine day...
You are welcome, do report back as it may help others.

I have heard of others with this problem. It seemed that Soregies failed to take one payment but took a double payment at the next date, but without telling anyone what they were doing.

I hope you get it resolved soon, and as Fred said, please let us know the outcome.

Moi again Fred,

So, before sending off a heated missive to Soregies,  I've had a search through our bank statements of the last year or so and, as Brian as mentioned, yes there are inconsistencies in the billing which seem to have little logic. A couple of years ago we happily received a facture with nothing owed and another time they owed us! Doesn't happen enough for me!
Anyhow, as to my current situation (and this may apply to others'), what seems to have evolved is a billing that debits 20-some days (maybe a little less or more) after the date of the facture itself (not the email date when you receive it.) This shows up on the following month's bank statement. For example, if the facture is in July then August's bank statement should show that debit. I therefore expect to see a debit on April's bank statement as our last facture was for this month, March. I hope this does help people who are confused by the Soregies billing system. And who knows? It may evolve into something else yet again. Yikes!
So, no need to send a letter so far. Hooray!

A note on analyzing the facture itself. There is an explanation on their site and I will test out my new Reverso Document Translator and, if you think it's the right thing to do, I will post the English translation on this forum.

All best to you and Brian,
PastelPainter

I just work on the assumption that's it's ⅓ electricity used, ⅓ for the privilege of being a customer and ⅓ tax Big Grin

Going back to your original point, I wonder if February being the shortest month had an influence?

So true and it's the tax that really gets me roiled.  That is interesting about short February.  Cool
Personally I read my own meter every two months and they send us the bill, I then go on-line and pay it or if it's a big one and things are a bit tight we go into their office and give them two checks one post dated for the next month. Always found them happy to do that, and if I remember rightly it was them that suggested it.

The reason we don't have it taken out each month is because #1 they wanted to rate it higher than what it was per year, #2 we can hold off payment till we want to pay it.

But I would say Yes post it. We could do with more posts here, it helps keep the place active. Thumb

Hi  Fred,

Your method is yet again more helpful information that readers can consider when dealing with Soregies payments. Nice to know that the electric company is not 'faceless' after all  Smile

Hopefully will get that analysis translated soon. I'll see how complicated it is in its translation before posting. Could be more information than people want. Anyhow, might be a couple of weeks as in the garden now; but I will emerge eventually and post the traduction if it looks understandable.
Bye for now...
