All went well, in and out in 10 minutes.

Thanks for the heads up Brian I had my parents name written down for the meeting.

Very pleasant experience, now have to wait around 6 weeks for my card.
Great to hear!
I am very pleased that our French hosts have made it so easy for we immigrants to regularise our lives here. I have several EU friends who are having a very difficult time complying with the UK requirements - despite owning property, working and paying tax and NI in the UK for 30+ years.

An idea of the timescale for those still waiting:

I applied for my titre de sejour on 19 October 2020.
I had my interview at the Montmorillon sous-prefecture on 20 January.
My 10 year Carte de Sejour arrived today, 18 March 2020.

I am delighted to finally have proof that I can stay here  Big Grin

Great news Brian, congratulations.  Five

I take it in 10 years it's just a matter of changing it like a driving license on-line and should be easier.

I'll let you know in 2031
Cool
I got an automated email today saying: "Your request for a residence permit has been processed by the prefecture. Your residence permit will be sent to you shortly by post"

Smile
Excellent - my card arrived about 6 weeks after that email...
Congratulations chaps glad on getting your carte de sejour.  Thumb
Question. When you got your invite to the prefecture was the date and time set in stone or was it possible to re-book a appointment to suit ?
Thanks

The invite was an automated email and if I remember correctly it said you need to contact the sous préfecture at Montmorillon if you could not attend on the given appointment.

So my understanding is Yes you would be able to reschedule, but we took the slots given as we don't live too far away and we just want to get our hands on our cards.

I have always found the sous préfecture at Montmorillon very helpful over the years and this time was no different, so I would say if you have a problem when you get your invite to get in touch.

Good luck.
