The annual Lathus Vide Grenier is on this Sunday 3 September

07:00 - 19:00

*Note: My understanding is do to the current situation it will not be held in the street this year. Which is a shame, but it will go ahead at the Stade Pierre Robert
Great shame if that's the case Fred.

The  street market bit allowed Madame Admiral and myself, plus a couple of chums, to set up a tat stall and attempt to flog off junk from the garage.

"Attempt" is the operative word because by mid-afternnon nothing had shifted and the French prospective buyers wanted everything for €1. Doh

But the street market set-up gave a real flavour of rural life in France and generally a good day out and about.....bag of frites. couple of beers and real atmosphere.

Haven't heard anything from the Mairie but that's hardly surprising here in La belle France where everyone just assumes you must know what they know.... Whistle

Quite how that trick of psychic osmosis works is still a mystery to me. Huh

Yes it looked like it was still very busy, I actually thought it was better than in the streets as I didn't keep getting vehicles brushing past me whilst wondering around. Looking at the amount of people and cars parked outside it didn't put people off going to the Stade.

I would say well done Lathus. Thumb
