Does anyone know about the Livebox 4 ?

We have a 3 at the moment and it looks like they have updated the software or something looking at the Admin panel. However it seems to be going a bit intermittent on WIFI lately, so I've been looking around and there is a 4 model out now.

We rent our box so I'm wondering if you can swap it from a version 3 to version 4.

If anyone knows, can you let me know how you go about it.

Thank you.
Just thought I would update in case it helps anyone else.

I have phoned the Orange English speaking helpline: 09 69 36 39 00 and to my surprise they answered almost immediately. A very nice young lady asked a few basic questions about the problem, and then suggested I hang up and she will call me back in 2 minutes.

She did call back in just less than 2 minutes and said the line is ok but there is a problem with thee Livebox. So she suggested a new Livebox and gave me two options.

#1 Get a new Livebox 3 (the one I have now) for free and stay on the €3:00 rental per month.

#2 The four is not available on our original offer (Zen) of unlimited internet and free calls via internet phone, so we would have to upgrade or package for another €7:00 per month to (Play)

We have gone for option #1 as we only use it for internet and landline calls. So we will stay on our current cost of €36:99 per month all in (unlimited internet and phone calls to landlines anywhere), and get a new Livebox 3.

I have to go up to Poitiers next week so will collect it then. She has given me a code, and said just take the old one back and they will give me a new one and set it up ready to go.

She also said she will phone once I have it up and running to do another test and make sure it's working properly.

I may have bee lucky or the have improved the English help line a lot since my last effort a few years ago. But I have received excellent service.
Blimey Fred.  That was a result and a half to say the least. Thumb

My last encounter with Orange was hideously painful and led to all sorts of confusion with them sending me all the wrong paper work instead of the stuff I had requested.  Which led to a late payment fine which was the one thing I was trying to avoid when I contacted them to point out their initial mistake.

Are you sure you weren't talking to Orange (fill in country name) where they understand what service means?  Whistle

I've had my Livebox for 2 years now and - fingers and everything else crossed - have had no issues. However I've heard many stories more along the lines of Admiral's reply and have dreaded a change in circumstances, depending, as I do, on the Internet for my livelihood! Let's hope your experience is an indication of better times ahead ...
Reporting back.

I went to Orange at Auchan in Poitiers with my old Livebox and the code the English help line had given me and was givena new Livbox and told I could keep the old cables for ethernet, etc. All they wanted was the box and electric cable.

I plugged it in, entered the code and pass also given to me by the English help line on my computer and was up and running in a few minutes.

The lady from the English help line has phoned today as she said she would and asked if I had any problems. She made sure I was happy and the internet and phone were working as they should, and just as I thought (Here comes the sales pitch) she said if you have anyo other problems don't hesitate to call us.

So yep I take it all back what I have said about the Orange English speaking helpline in the past. They have given me excellent service, and hopefully will continue to do so to others.
