FYI !   

There is now a doctor / medecine generale (GP) in Civaux who speaks decent English !
Madame Beaufigeau at La Trimouille has excellent English too.
I'll add another to the list.

Civaux convenient : close to Lussac and even closer to the nuclear plant where i 'll be for the next 3 to 6 month.

And the Doc is a cutie Wink !

i did not record her name but she has her practice in front of the city hall and close to the church.. doctors are cheap here compared the USA ..

In Adriers, we have the estimable Dr Marie-France MOUSSET-CLAVAUD. She speaks excellent English. She is based at Rue des Ecoles in Adriers (86430) and her phone number is 05 49 48 84 45.
Can you just change Doctors?
We have moved and I wondered if I could just go to my local Doctor.

I take it you are registered and have a Carte Vitale? you will need to let the https://www.ameli.fr/ know. I think you just ask your new doctor to fill in a form "médecin traitant" and you send it off to them.

If you're not registered I don't know sorry.
