Around Montmorillon - Stop cold calls in France

After the death of pacitel where you could opt out of cold calling Opt out of cold calling by phone there is a new service starting on June 01 2016.

Bloctel will be mandatory and abusers risk a fine of €75,000 so this will be better than the old Pacitel which was a voluntary system.

Starting from 01 June 2016 just go to the website below and enter your number of your landline and mobile if you no longer want cold calls, it will however take a month for your number to be removed as companies are obligated to check once per month.

I'll take a squint at the site come June 1.

We went Liste Rouge with France Telecom about five years ago which did stop 99 per cent of cold calls. But....some automated nonsense rubbish still gets through. Easy to deal with though - a bit of ripe Anglo-Saxon seems to do the trick. Whistle

On the down side it also cost an extra €2 per two months. Thumbsdown

Once this is running it should stop all that.

You pay €2 for Liste Rouge? we get it free. Confused

We never answer our phone, just let the answerphone get it. If they want you that bad they will speak then you can pick up.

They are getting a huge amount of people using the https://bloctel.gouv.fr/ site, but I've got mine done.

Now you need to fill in the questions. *Put your phone numbers in for contact and remember to add them again at the bottom you can add more by clicking "Ajouter à numéro de téléphone"
