Around Montmorillon

Hello and welcome to the latest in my seemingly endless chain of questions Blush

My wife and I are planning to return to see family in the UK at Christmas for just over a week.

All fine apart from the fact that we have two cats over here that need either to be fed or banished to a cattery for the duration.

Andrea has found one cattery but the space available for the cats is very small - she reckons the two of them would be sharing a space about the size of a small fridge - and it's a fair drive away from base. So that's not going to happen Confused

Does anyone:
a) know of a good cattery within (say) an hour of Montmorillon
or
b) know of someone who'd be prepared to pop over to our place near Adriers once a day or every other day to leave them some food. In return for suitable payment, of course Wink

Thanks in advance for any help. Or even sarcastic replies...

Does the sacastic bit apply to me? Rather hope so but one can never be sure...........

There is a very good - so I'm told by people with first hand experience - kennels/cat place on the Montmorillon to Chauvigny road.

To find the road you need to go past the big Renault garage, Mr Bricolage until you get to the Leader Price roundabout. Take last exit which, rather helpfully, is signposted Chauvigny D54.

About 15 to 20 minutes later you will see on your left-hand side a large sliding gate with two beige walls either side. The giveaway here is that walls are covered in colourful murals of smiling cats and dogs.

Sorry. Don't know the name of the place and the people who do are in Germany at the moment.Wall
Thanks Admiral,
With those clear directions I'll be able to find it and Andrea can give it the once over to ensure it's up to the cats' standards. IT's no use me doing the assessing as if it's up to my standards I'm sure it won't be good enough for the cats!
Thanks agin,
Brian

Just trawling through this site Big Boy and my curiousity suddenly burst into action.  Nasty thing curiousity, it can get you into trouble.

But...........if you don't ask, you don't get, soooo did this cattery search ever come to anything?

Just wondering for the benefit of our legion of readers.... Whistle
Thank you for the nudge.
We went to see the place you mentioned on the Chauvigny road but seemed reluctant to take any cats over Christmas so we returned home. More googling and we discovered a place called Pat a Chat.
It looked good on the website, we phoned and they had availability. They invited us to have a look so we set off, and it turned out Pat a Chat is less than 1km from the place you mentioned on the Chauvigny road.

The cats stayed over Christmas and didn't write anything on the complaints form I gave them so it seems to be a good place to stay.

Assuming you're a cat.

Our cat stayed here last summer and he didn't complain. It's off to the east of the Chauvigny road about 1km north of the place with the dogs painted on the walls.
