Walk into LeClerc. Go into the travel agency bit and ask for a car/tipper truck/van or whatever it is you need.

Just a thought - does anyone know if they have a cherry picker for hire there? Exterior house painting calls!
I've made this into a new thread as it may get noticed better, the original thread it was on is here Car hire

I'm pretty sure Leclerc or the other supermarkets don't hire a cherry picker, but I think I did see one once for hire on the Industrial estate near Soregies. Just past Soregies turn left and I think it was near the end of the road on the left, but it was a while ago now.

Hopefully someone else will have a better answer, and if you do find one please update this thread as it could help others.

Thanks.

Fred.
Hi Fred

I suspect not for Le Clerc but hadn't seen / thoight about down by the electricity offices.

Thanks
Yikes. Huh

I hope you've had some joy because I've been asking people who would normally know the answer to a question like this. They don't.

Even when Hebras in Monmorillon did our roof they used very long ladders and sometimes, a bloke wobbling around in the bucket bit on a Manitou.

The only plant hire place I can think of that might do something as exotic as a cherry picker, is on the RN147 on the Civaux turn-off roundabout.

Failing that, why not trawl the ads in etcetera?

Bonne chance......
Thanks Admiral

I think we now know of a place across at Chateau les Eglises. I'll let you know when we know.

Chris
Not sure if you got sorted or if it helps, but we was up Poitiers the other day and on the west side ring road I spotted 3 hire companies and they all had cherry pickers.

Sorry didn't have chance to stop and get names numbers etc, but it may be worth looking into.

SORTED!!!! Thumb

We hired from Bricofer in Lussac les Eglises - not especially cheap but was necessary! Very rudimentary safety chat / instructions for use in franglais but it did the job and the outside of the house is now weatherproofed with Sandtex masonry paint brought from the UK.

YESSSS! Result. Bigarm

I love it when a plan, not mine you understand, works in this strange and complicated country.

Never head of this place before but have logged it for future reference/recce.

Pip pip

Here's a webpage for them ... https://www.societe.com/societe/sarl-bri...60177.html

They have a selection of DIY materials there and I know our electrician has used them for plasterboard, timber and screws/nails.

Jean-Luc has some English as well - thankfully!!!!
