This is bad news. Is this a little part of England coming to a place near us soon or is it just my paranoia?

Any clues to what our chums in the Gendarmerie are thinking?

I know when the wood yard at Lathus was stripped of chainsaws some years ago, suspicion fell on the local Brit community.

Gawd help us....

I hope not, but I have heard of someone having a quad bike stolen and another case of someone's oil tank being emptied. Thumbsdown

Don't know much more apart from, it could be a gang running from Poitiers.

Indeed, I'm setting my traps and stocking up on shotgun shells.

To add further woe to our growing collective msiery, I thought you would be thrilled (not) to learn that a couple of spotty 'erberts were seen trying to force open the front door of the florist in Lathus in the early hours of Monday morning.

You'll be thrilled to know they didn't manage to get it and even if they had, all they would have got is some rather nice potted plants as there is no cash on the premises at night.

Ye Gods....Angry

What fool thinks of robbing a Florist, did they not notice a small supermarket, 2 bread shops, tobacconist, wine shop, bank, post office, pharmacy, hotel/bar. No they went for a bunch of flowers.

Sounds like a professional job to me. Whistle

Couldn't agree more. Who wouldn't prefer a pot plant to say, several hundred cartons of Marlboro, dozens of cases of Cotes Du Rhone and lots of prescription drugs?

The latest outrage, or so I hear, happened at La Terrase, aka Kim's tearooms in the middle of Monty. Someone deliberately fractured the mains gas pipe leading into the building. Much Gendarme and Pompier activity in the middle of night.Thumbsdown

What sort of person puts lives at risk like that. Angry
